Six corridors our agents price constantly, so they know which carriers are worth the connection and which fares are about to move. Any route not listed, just ask.
JFK–LHRThe most heavily served transatlantic corridor, with overnight eastbound departures from JFK, Newark and LaGuardia connections.
JFK–CDGNon-stop into Charles de Gaulle year round, with Orly reachable on one-stop routings that are often materially cheaper.
JFK–FCOSeasonal non-stops into Fiumicino from spring through autumn, with year-round one-stop options via the major European hubs.
ORD–DXBUltra-long-haul non-stop, or one-stop via Europe where the fare difference is often worth the extra hours in transit.
MIA–CUNShort hop with heavy competition and wide fare spreads. Baggage rules vary sharply between carriers on this route.
LAX–NRTNon-stop to Narita and Haneda. Haneda sits far closer to central Tokyo, which is worth more than a small fare saving.
Four ways to put a trip on one ticket, and what each one suits. Fare rules and bag allowances vary by airline and fare.
| Trip shape | Suits | Watch for |
|---|---|---|
| One way | Relocations, open-ended trips, a return booked later | Proof of onward travel at check-in |
| Round trip | Most holidays and business trips with fixed dates | Minimum and maximum stay rules |
| Multi-city | Several cities, or flying home from a different airport | Connection protection across the legs |
| Flexible dates | Trips where a day either way is possible | Fares move with the day and the season |
Four steps on every booking, whether it is a single one-way or a five-leg multi-city itinerary.

Use the form above for live fares from our flight search, or call a consultant, who can quote fare types the search does not show.
We compare stops, journey time, baggage and the change rules together, so the cheapest headline number is not automatically the one you book.
Names, passport details and contact information taken exactly as they appear on your documents — a mismatch here is what causes refused boarding.
Payment goes through a verified gateway on its own page, and your receipt is emailed straight away. We then issue the ticket with the airline and send your confirmation and booking reference in a separate email.
Six things an IATA accredited agency can do for a fare that a comparison site cannot.
We hold and issue airline tickets ourselves rather than passing you to whoever owns the link, so the booking stays with us.
Consolidator and agent-only fare types sit outside the public booking engines. An agent can quote them for you.
Baggage allowance, change fees and refundability vary by fare class. We set them out before anything is charged, not after.
Multi-city itineraries, long stopovers, open jaws and group bookings that a search box will not put together on its own.
Date changes, name corrections, seat allocation and refunds are filed directly with the airline by the desk that issued the ticket.
Delays, missed connections and schedule changes do not wait for office hours, and neither does the desk that booked you.
A Vaavia travel consultant can compare routes and fare rules with you, and hold the booking while you decide.
There are two ways. Search live fares on this page, pick a flight and pay at checkout. Or have a Vaavia travel consultant do it with you: they can quote fare types the search does not show, read the fare rules back to you, and send a secure payment link by email.
Neither is automatically cheaper. The same public fares show up in both places, and an agency service fee applies to a consultant booking. What a consultant adds is access to some fare types an online search never displays, and a person who checks the rules with you before you pay rather than after.
Each traveler's full name exactly as printed on the passport or ID they will fly with, their date of birth, and your dates and airports. For an international trip, add the passport number and expiry date. A working email matters too, because the e-ticket and any airline change notice go there.
Sometimes. A hold is the airline's offer rather than ours, so whether one exists and how long it lasts depend on the airline and the fare. A consultant can tell you what is available on your route before you commit. Where no hold exists, the fare and the seat are secured only once the booking is paid.
If the airline cancels, or changes the flight significantly, and you decline what it offers instead, you are owed a refund of the fare, non-refundable tickets included. On a booking made with Vaavia we take that up with the airline and return the money to the card you paid with. See flight cancellation and refunds.
The fare shown in search covers taxes and carrier charges for the flight itself. Extras sit outside it: seat selection, checked bags and later changes are priced by the airline and depend on your fare type. A Vaavia service fee applies to a confirmed booking and is shown to you before you pay.
The ticket carries the traveler's name exactly as it appears on the ID they will show at the airport. You can book and pay for someone else, but the name on the ticket is theirs. Once a ticket is issued most airlines treat a name correction as a cancellation and reissue, at the traveler's cost.
A booking is confirmed once the payment has gone through and the airline has issued the ticket. The e-ticket arrives by email carrying the airline's own booking reference. Until that reference exists the seat is not held. Check every traveler name the day it arrives, while a correction is still straightforward.
